THE 5 BEST PLACES TO WATCH THE EUROS THIS SUMMER

The Euros Are Coming Home

Hey there Duppies,

It’s officially Euros season and that means getting the gang back together for some epic sports entertainment and copious amounts of alcohol – what more could you ask for? 2021 is shaping up to be the year of all years with the return of hospitality as well as one of football’s most exciting tournaments.

In true Duppy style we have compiled a list of the most banging pubs, bars, and venues to watch the Euros on the big screen, whilst sipping (or downing, if that’s more your vibe) some delicious drinks. We know that the footy and a cold pint are a match made in heaven but trust us when we say a rum cocktail wouldn’t go amiss too.

So, crack open a cold one with the boys (or girls) and head to your local spot for a summer of sporting extravaganzas.

Let’s kick it off … pardon the pun.

Hope & Anchor

An offshoot of the Young’s Pub family and located in the heart of Brixton, Hope & Anchor is the epitome of a chilled pub garden vibe. This is the place to be if you want to enjoy the footy with your mates over a cool glass of Duppy but want to avoid the fanatics and hooligans. These guys will have the matches up on 24 big screens throughout the venue and a projector. They’ll keep you fuelled with some classic British pub food from their seasonal menu, along with plenty of craft beers, ales and an extensive wine and cocktail list to keep you in the mood. Head to any of the Young’s Pubs for some football madness.

Address: 123 Acre Lane Brixton London SW2 5UA. Closest tube: Clapham North

Truman’s Social

Truman’s Social is an awesome East London spot to check out if you’re looking for a vibey beer hall with a great outdoor area for indulging in locally sourced food and drink while you watch the big game. Truman’s is not only a cool, contemporary hang out but is also rich in history. At one point in the 1800s it was even the biggest brewery in the world, so you just know these guys will be serving amazing drinks while you watch the Euros. The place will be decked out with two massive screens, so you’ll definitely be able to get in on the action, whilst sipping some Duppy.

Address: 1 Priestley Way, London E17 6AL. Nearest Tube: Blackhorse Road

Pergola Paddington

If you know us, then you know that we are big fans of the Pergola crew – these guys really know how to create an awesome atmosphere for chilling with your mates, and match day is no exception. Seriously, you don’t want to miss out on a summer of sport at Pergola, these guys will have 26 HD screens dotted around the rooftop venue. But if Paddington isn’t for you, you can still get in on the action at The Prince, so be sure to grab some Duppy and head to one of their sites.

Address: 4 Kingdom St, London W2 6PY. Nearest tube: Royal Oak

The Duke of Edinburgh

The Duke of Edinburgh is a must visit this summer and is one of London’s most beloved beer gardens. This lot will not only provide you with mountains of alcohol whilst you watch the Euros, but they are also home to one of our epic partners, White Men Can’t Jerk. You can enjoy some finger lickin jerk chicken, glazed wings and oozing burgers at half time and we all know Caribbean food pairs best with Caribbean rum. Head over there now for some football mayhem.

Address: 204 Ferndale Rd, London SW9 8AG. Nearest tube: Brixton

Skylight Rooftop Bar

Skylight Rooftop Bar is one of the most banging rooftop bar/beer gardens around. Luckily for you guys, Skylight will have 4 big outdoor screens for a whopping 600 guests to watch the Euros this summer, and what’s more, additional screens will be put up throughout the venue to make sure you don’t miss out on the fun. These guys even have an indoor cinema so you can watch the matches in style. And of course, you can expect draught beer, cocktails and tasty food to munch on while you enjoy a summer of live sport with an epic view of London’s Skyline.

Address: Tobacco Dock, London E1W 2SF. Nearest Tube: Tower Hill

So Duppies, that rounds up our favourite match day venues for the Euros. Be sure to tag us @theduppyshare in all your posts while you’re watching the footy with your friends and family.
