It’s a Bank Holiday!
We’ve got another May bank holiday and that means an extended weekend to bask in the rumshine, drinking cocktails to your heart’s content.
Now that indoor dining is back and better than ever, you can experience the warmth and magic of the Caribbean whatever the weather and enjoy a tasty Duppy tipple or two. So, without further ado, here are our top 3 recommendations of where to drink Duppy this Bank Holiday:
Cottons
Locations: Notting Hill, Shoreditch, Vauxhall
If it’s rum that you’re drinking (and we think it should be) then it would be rude to not pair it with some awesome Caribbean food, in which case Cottons is a great introduction. Offering a modern take on Caribbean food, with classics like oxtail stew and jerk with rice and peas, we love their relaxed tropical interiors that will have you reminiscing over holidays past. All of that combined with a cheeky glass of Duppy is sure to be a match made in rum heaven. These guys have several sites around London so you can visit your site of choice, but we’d recommend their Vauxhall venue with an insta-worthy roof terrace so you can soak up the rays. Make sure you check them out and don’t forget to share the rum love when you do.
Patty and Bun
Locations: Bond Street, Liverpool Street, Oxford Circus, Tottenham Court Road, Hackney Central, London Bridge, Notting Hill Gate, Shepherd's Bush
If you know us, then you know that the Patty and Bun crew are one of our most legendary and beloved partners. These guys really know their stuff when it comes to dishing up sexy, oozing burgers with BIG flavours, and serving delish rum cocktails alongside them. We love these guys so much we even created a tasty kit with them, including their banging burgers and our revolutionary rum, so keep your eyes peeled for more up and coming collabs. The Patty and Bun gang have a bunch of venues around London; we particularly love their Liverpool Street site with a huge space and an awesome rustic feel to it.
Pergola Lost in Brixton
Location: Brixton
One of many great additions to the Pergola family, Lost in Brixton is a must for socialising with friends and family. These guys don’t disappoint! You’ll get to enjoy fabulous Latin-American inspired cocktails, live music and a variety of street food inspired by cuisines from around the world - much of it straight from Brixton market’s local traders. Hidden on a rooftop in Brixton Market, it's become a firm local favourite. Check out their other locations around London too; Pergola Paddington is just as vibey.
